Beautification Grant
Let’s make Schulenburg shine. This matching grant program helps local businesses improve the appearance of their property — enhancing curb appeal, encouraging foot traffic, and strengthening community pride.
Eligibility
Grants may be used for visual improvements such as:
- Exterior painting and lighting
- Signage upgrades
- Building façade repair
- Landscaping, sidewalks, parking areas, and awnings
All improvements must be visible from the public right-of-way and enhance the visual appeal of the property.
Loan Details
The EDC will match 50% of approved project costs, up to a maximum of $7,500 per location.
- One grant per location every 3 years
- Shared properties with multiple tenants are considered to be one location
- Funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis annually
How to Apply
Applications open October 1 and close September 1
- Work cannot begin before approval
- Projects must be completed by September 15
- Submit before photos, bids/estimates, and full project details with your application
- Final grant disbursement occurs after inspection and submission of receipts
